online reservation at Indian Railways

The Indian railway
is the worlds second largest railway system. If going by figures it
covers, 6853 stations and 63028 kilometers of track distance, carrying
a load of 37840 passengers and around 500 tons of freight annually.

Due to the efforts put in
this direction now reserved ticketing for anywhere in India is possible
through a network of booking terminals and Interactive Voice response
systems on telephone, or touch screens or passenger operated enquiry
terminals.

Now one can easily plan the journey comfortably as the
process is efficient and fast with being easy to access. Reservations
can be made through the Indian railways site or at the ample
reservation centers all over the country. Also now there are authorized
agencies which provide reservation facility on behalf of India railways
and without waiting in long line one can easily book a ticket. The
booking is done through an E-Ticket issue which have a PNR number of
which one has to take a print and just have to show at the station.

It
not only reservation but cancellation can also be done through this
system at ease and one can use a credit card to complete the process.

This being a big step in terms of improvement in the railway system it is widely accepted across the country.

Here we are giving a guided method for e-ticket reservation at indian railways

step1: login to site:

first go to site “irctc.co.in” ,in the left side login form enter your username and password , then you will be directed to “PLAN MY TRAVEL..”

step2:  finding right train:
page after selecting required options(train list,from -to station etc) ,select the option where “E-ticket” ..just click the button “Find Trains” and wait for list of available trains

step3: booking the ticket:
now select whichever train you want to go ,and click “Book Ticket” option ,you will be taken to a page where egpic9you need to fill the required information as age ,name etc fill the form  and click “Go“  the booking is done .epic13

Step4: payment for the ticket :
after step2 you will be taken to payment page ..where all the details will be shown .BE SURE TO CHECK THAT EVERY DETAIL IS RIGHT . after confirmation click the lower button “Make Payment” ..if you wish to change the setting then just click “Replan” button .after clicking  “Make Payment” button you will be given various payment  option ,choose any one and pay the required money.

step5: printing  the e-ticket:

when you re done with payment ,just check the page as shown in below and click “Print ERS” button .for getting ticket printed in hindi click “Print ERS(Hindi) ” button ..and congrats ! your e-ticket is in your hand .
